About CCPA/CPRA

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives California residents rights over their personal information and imposes obligations on businesses that collect, use, or sell that data. It applies to for-profit businesses that do business in California and meet certain revenue, data volume, or data sale thresholds.

Who Must Comply?

The CCPA applies to for-profit businesses that collect California residents' personal information and meet at least one of the following:

  • Annual gross revenue exceeding $25 million
  • Annually buy, sell, or share personal information of 100,000 or more consumers or households
  • Derive 50% or more of annual revenue from selling or sharing consumers' personal information
